المحاماة مهنة حرة تشارك السلطة القضائية في إستظهار الحقائق لتحقيق العدل وتأكيد سيادة القانون ، ويطلق على من يمارس مهنة المحاماة محامي ويسمون أيضا “القضاء الواقف”. وهى مهنه قائمه على تقديم المساعدة للأشخاص الطبيعيين والاعتباريين في اقتضاء حقوقهم والمعاونه في العمل وفقا للقوانين المتبعه في كافة المجالات والدفاع عن حقوق الغير والتوعية القانونية للمواطنين بحقوقهم وواجباتهم. المحاماه مهنة السريه والشرف فلا يحق لمن يعمل بها ان يفشى اسرار عملاؤه ، فقد وثقوا به ووضعوا ثقتهم فيه.

Advocacy is a free profession that participates with the judiciary in revealing the facts to achieve justice and confirm the rule of law. Those who practice the profession of advocacy are called lawyers and are also called "the standing judiciary". It is a profession based on providing assistance to natural and legal persons in obtaining their rights and assisting in working in accordance with the laws followed in all fields and defending the rights of others and legal awareness of citizens about their rights and duties. Advocacy is a profession of confidentiality and honor. No one who works in it has the right to disclose the secrets of his clients, as they have trusted him and placed their trust in him.
